Hopefully in next week’s episode we will see more of that fight, and that it spans the full episode and not cutting between three story plots. Other aspects of the episode that I wish were made longer was the fight between naruto and kaguya. Now don’t get me wrong I love backstory but there comes a point where I am screaming at the monitor saying can’t we just see naruto fight kaguya, also the final fight between naruto and sasuke. As I said at the start of this review, we have had a lot of filler showing off the backstory of the Ōtsutsuki clan as a whole.

Sometimes it is best to have filler to prolong the series and expand on the universe of naruto. But as a manga and anime fan of naruto, I want cannon but not to much so the anime just ends and i can’t get my weekly fix of naruto. The scenes with naruto fighting kaguya i felt were really well animated, you can see the wanted to use filler to prolong these episodes as its coming close to the end of the anime. Finally expanding on the dimensions of kaguya and showing them all off in this jam packed episode. Now the recap is out of the way i felt the episode was very strong, a good core cannon episode.
Sasuke used the rinnegan technique Amenotejikara to trade places with sakura’s flak, thus allowing him to make it through the portal. Only to find out that he helps a falling sakura and makes it through the portal in the nick of time. Due to obito weakening from all the dimension opening using kamui, the portal starts to shrink and eventually showing that sasuke never makes it through the portal. Whilst opening a third dimension, they find sasuke and try to communicate to him, making him see the portal and trying to run towards it. During the opening of these dimensions, sakura gets burnt by acid which burns her flak jacket and arm leaving a wound on her right arm. Meanwhile obito and sakura return of kamui’s dimension to start the search for sasuke, they come across two dimensions a pyramid dimension and sea of acid dimension. Once kaguya and black zetsu think they have killed the original naruto, they revisit the snow dimension that everyone was previously in. This makes black zetsu think he is the original and forcing kaguya to attack and kill him in the process turning him into ash. Black zetsu then asks naruto if he is the original one, naruto replying saying what if I am. Obito then uses his kamui to put himself and sakura into kamui’s dimension while naruto and kaguya interact. All three used obito’s kamui to transport them to the dimension. Meanwhile sakura and obito also made it to the mountainous dimension without kaguya’s knowledge. At the same time a clone of naruto’s makes it through the dimension as well causing a interaction between the two. Using the jutsu of Kokuō (Five Tails) Boil Release he is able to escape just in time to use taijutsu on kaguya with shadow clones.Īfter this kaguya uses her space-time ninjutsu to travel to a mountainous dimension. Now back to episode 470, what really happened in this episode? well to recap it starts off where episode 463 near ends with naruto trapped by ice at the hands of kaguya. We have had a few cannon episodes sprinkled throughout the Ōtsutsuki clan backstory, and there was also the kakashi face reveal episode. So finally after a few months of filler we are starting to come back to canon material. OK so this is my first ever review of a episode of an anime so i hope you enjoy.
